SOLEA USER GROUP MEETING 2018 AGENDA 

We have designed an exciting agenda that is organized in 5 tracks.  Though within each track the sessions flow nicely together, you are welcome to switch between tracks.  Our goals it to give you the flexibility to customize your experience such that it aligns best with your learning needs.

General Session

Join us in the General Session room to kick-off the 4th Annual User Group Meeting. Dave Garabedian and Mike Cataldo will deliver a welcome speech with exciting updates from the company and objectives for this meeting.  Then, each of the 7 speakers give a brief introduction about themselves and their practice.  In addition, Dr. Scott Froum, a board-certified periodontist, will briefly review the interim results of the split-mouth clinical study he is conducting that compares Solea to traditional methods when treating moderate periodontitis.

Whether you are a General Practitioner or a Pediatric Dentist, this course is for you. The course will broaden your knowledge and skills of the specialty of pediatric dentistry through case review, patient care, and clinical cases.

•              Cavity preps on primary teeth

This session is for associates who have not been through Solea Training or if you just need a refresher.

All laser users including the doctor, assistants, hygienists or any personnel working with or potentially exposed to class 4 laser radiation must take Laser Safety Basic Training.  This two-part course follows standards outlined by the American National Standards Institute ANSI Z136.3

•              Fundamentals of laser operation (physical principles, construction, etc.)

•              Bioeffects of laser radiation (eye and skin hazards)

•              Significance of specular and diffuse reflection

•              Non-beam hazards.

•              Laser classification systems

•              Control measures

Restorative

REMOVING EXISTING RESTORATION WITH SOLEA   2CE

This course will teach you techniques for removing several types of restorative materials with Solea.

•              Techniques for removing Amalgam vs. Resin

•              Learn what to expect when removing different types of resins and those that contain silicates.

This hands-on session gives attendees the opportunity to apply the techniques discussed in the morning session.  Attendees will practice their techniques with the Ultraguide handpiece on pig jaws.  After completing this track, attendees will be able to successfully use Solea to treat peri-implantitis and effectively use the Ultraguide handpiece to treat periodontitis. No prior Ultraguide experience is necessary for this track.

This session will provide dentists with the opportunity to have an intimate conversation with Dr. Kotlow and other pediatric Solea dentists.
